General Assistant/Barista

Join our team as a General Assistant / Barista at IAG Cargo (Heathrow Airport, United Kingdom) We’re looking for a friendly, customer-focused individual to create exceptional experiences for our guests while crafting delicious beverages, providing top-notch service, and supporting daily operations. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages to customer specifications - Operate and maintain café equipment - Take customer orders and process transactions accurately - Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards - Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly - Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours - Restock supplies and assist with inventory management - Contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere for all customers - Support the wider team with general duties, including cleaning, stock rotation, setting up and closing down service areas, and assisting in other departments as required to ensure smooth day-to-day operations - Previous experience in hospitality, catering, or customer service (desirable but not essential – full training provided) - Barista skills or a strong interest in learning coffee preparation techniques - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Positive, friendly, and professional manner - Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work independently when required - Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment - Flexibility to work varied shifts - Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene standards (training provided) - Good numeracy skills for handling transactions and basic stock counts - Commitment to delivering excellent service and creating positive customer experiences
