What you'll be doing: - Daily repair of machinery and carrying out proactive tasks when possible - Planning and Monitoring machine performance - Monitoring failure - Supporting External Contractors - Technical support for production when required - To maintain the highest standards in housekeeping, adopting a clean as you go policy. - To maintain the highest standards when completing paperwork and works sign off. Key areas of the role: - H&S and safe work practices - Food safety, minimizing day to day risks with running of the plant and involving contractors - Plan is king, ensure that the company can hit its required targets - Firefighting machinery / site services upkeep and carrying out ongoing maintenance PPM in a timely manner - Promote and contribute to the continuous improvement of the running of the company - Minimize down time - Train / guide production staff in the correct way to treat our machinery and help train our maintenance technicians from within our department. - Work on projects as allocated by the Engineering Manager - Any other duties as requested by the Engineering Manager - Relevant Electrical Engineering qualification with basic mechanical skills - Able to prove competency in all forms of isolation and electrical safety - Proactive / use your own initiative - Experience of FMCG operations - PC Literate (thereby able to use computer-based maintenance systems)
