We are seeking an AIT Electrical Operator to join our team in Stevenage, supporting the assembly, integration and testing of advanced aerospace and space systems within a highly regulated environment.
- Location: Stevenage
- On Site: Fully onsite 5x a week
- Clearance: Clearable
- Experience Level: Junior
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform assembly, integration and test activities in accordance with engineering procedures and work instructions.
- Prepare hardware and equipment for integration and testing activities.
- Support electrical and mechanical integration of aerospace and space systems.
- Execute functional tests and record test results accurately.
- Identify and report non-conformances, anomalies and defects.
- Complete manufacturing and quality documentation in line with project requirements.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety and cleanliness requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the AIT environment
Required Skills:
- Experience in a manufacturing, assembly, integration or test environment.
- Background in Aerospace, Space, Defence, Electronics, Automotive or another highly regulated industry.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, procedures and technical documentation.
- Strong practical and hands-on engineering skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Experience working to strict processes and procedures.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexible and proactive approach to problem solving.
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
Desirable Skills:
- Previous experience within an Assembly, Integration and Test (AIT) environment.
- Experience working on aerospace, satellite or space-related hardware.
- Cleanroom experience.
- Electrical testing or mechanical assembly experience.
- Familiarity with aerospace quality standards and documentation requirements.
