Transport Support Operator

Life in this role As part of our, Chilled & Fresh division, we have an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Transport Support Operator Salary: £30,426 per annum. Working hours: 4 on 4 off days, 7am-7pm Key Duties of a Transport Support Operator: - Correctly debriefing drivers. - Checking all timesheets for correct completion and ensuring all PODs are returned completed correctly. - Scanning and storing PODs using Culina’s document management system. - Preparing drivers’ wallets and issuing delivery notes in drop sequence plus any other relevant delivery information. - Printing all despatch notes and replenishing despatch paper as required. - Answering the telephone and assisting with any enquiries. - Downloading drivers’ cards / tachographs. - Ensuring all estimated time of arrivals (ETAs) are communicated to Customer Services. - Consistently updating all spreadsheets including, but not limited to; change-overs, run summaries and trailer check sheets. - Departing loads using Transport Management System (TMS). - Ensuring all uplifts are despatched in correct loads. - Previous experience in a similar role. - Attention to detail/ accuracy. - Excellent communication skills in order to deliver accurate information. - Able to work efficiently and accurately under pressure. - Effectively prioritise work load in order to meet set deadlines. - Computer literate, particularly MS Office applications i.e. PowerPoint, Word, Excel or equivalent. - Able to work as part of a team or individually. - Able to work effectively and communicate to the correct level.
