- Coordinates manufacturing delivery commitments to Program Management and Contracts.
- Analyzes customer demand and validates that all manufacturing deliverables are correct with attainable delivery dates.
- Monitors Master Production Schedules for potential slippages and problems that could impact product delivery; alerts management of delinquencies and recommends corrective actions.
- Prepares and distributes weekly schedules and project status summaries to relevant work centers and production management teams.
- Develops and maintains monthly and quarterly forecasts while identifying critical manufacturing resources and potential bottlenecks through capacity planning analysis.
- Adheres to and develops evolving Master Production Scheduling policies and company standard procedures.
- Monitors and controls changes to Order Policies and Lead Time Policies; applies rough-cut capacity planning to expose long-term resource problems.
- Attends Control Board Reviews to ensure change requests are correctly classified and analyzes impact on MPS commitments with Production management.
- Prepares project startup schedules and monitors progress of supporting elements including test equipment, processes, and fixtures in coordination with Manufacturing Operations.
- Coordinates recovery plans and chairs formal meetings to resolve cross-functional problems; maintains minutes and monitors action items.
- Works directly with finished goods shippers to ensure timely and accurate shipment of goods.
- Supports BOE (Basis of Estimates) requests for new business bids and attends Project and Production Reviews as required.
