Amazon is looking for a talented and self-motivated Senior Regional Environmental Manager-EMEA to lead the environmental team across the Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA) region. The successful candidate
Basic qualifications:
- Experience leading large teams, with demonstrable ability to hire, develop, and manage high-performing technical teams
- Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, geology, environmental science, or a related discipline.
- 15+ years of multi-media environmental due diligence, permitting, and compliance experience for existing sites and new development.
- 10+ years of progressive experience delivering transactional Phase I and Phase II ESAs, site investigation and remediation, and bownfield development in EMEA.
- 7+ years of people management experience leading geographically distributed teams across multiple regions. Demonstrated experience managing and leading teams of environmental professionals.
- Experience developing programmatic approaches and tools/mechanisms to evaluate and manage environmental risks and a contaminated site portfolio, including coordination with finance, real estate, legal, and external agency stakeholders.
- Experience with controls and financial reporting in accordance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act for remedial activities with construction site compliance experience.
- Proven track record of delivering multiple, high-priority projects with tight timelines requiring strong communication with partner teams, outside consultants, internal counsel, and regulatory agencies.
- Demonstrated ability to partner cross-functionally to accomplish strategic initiatives and multi-year plans to improve corporate environmental performance
