About the Role
As a Senior Cost Manager, you will lead the delivery of cost management services across a range of corporate occupier projects from feasibility through to completion.
You will act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic commercial guidance while ensuring successful project outcomes across cost, quality, programme and risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead pre-contract and post-contract cost management services on corporate fit-out and workplace projects.
- Develop detailed cost plans, budgets and feasibility estimates.
- Provide strategic cost advice, value engineering and commercial risk management.
- Prepare and present cost reports to senior client stakeholders.
- Manage procurement and tendering processes.
- Oversee change control and project financial governance.
- Negotiate and agree final accounts.
- Support multi-country and EMEA-wide client programmes.
- Collaborate with project managers, workplace consultants and account teams to deliver best-in-class client outcomes.
- Contribute to bids, business development initiatives and client presentations.
- Mentor and support junior members of the Cost Management team.
About You
We're looking for an ambitious and commercially focused professional who enjoys working in a client-facing environment and thrives on delivering complex workplace projects.
Essential Requirements
- MRICS qualified.
- Significant experience in cost management within consultancy, project management or professional services environments.
- Strong background delivering corporate fit-out, workplace or occupier-led projects.
- Demonstrable experience managing projects from inception through to completion.
- Excellent cost planning, reporting and commercial management skills.
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder management experience.
- Experience presenting to senior leadership teams and corporate clients.
- High level of proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and other reporting tools.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Candidates must have the legal right to work in the UK at the time of application, as we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.
Desirable
- Experience working across UK and EMEA projects or portfolios.
- Knowledge of governance-led delivery models and corporate real estate programmes.
- Experience supporting major occupier clients and multi-market assignments.
