Security Officer

Responsibilities You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes: - Welcoming and assisting staff, visitors, and contractors. - Conducting regular safety and security patrols. - Ensuring compliance with regulations and procedures. - Supporting emergency protocols, including evacuations and searches. - Keeping vigilant, reporting incidents, and preventing disruption. - Accurately maintaining records of all activity and handovers. - Provide a visible security presence across the site - Conduct regular foot patrols - Monitor CCTV systems and security alarms - Manage access control and visitor sign-in procedures - Respond to incidents and emergencies professionally - Complete accurate incident and shift reports - Assist employees, contractors, and visitors - Ensure all health, safety, and security procedures are followed at all times Please note - The responsibilities listed here aren’t the full picture—but they give you a good sense of the role. Ideally, you’ll have: What We're Looking For: - Valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding Licence - Previous corporate security experience preferred - Professional appearance and attitude - Strong attention to detail and observational skills - Ability to remain calm under pressure - Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently - Flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends. - The right to work in the UK, with a 5-year checkable history. - Strong communication skills in English—both written and spoken.
