Security Officer

Responsibilities You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes: - Welcome and assist staff, visitors, and contractors while maintaining a professional security presence. - Conduct regular internal and external patrols, site inspections, and monitor CCTV, alarms, and security systems. - Control access to the site, manage visitor and contractor procedures, and prevent unauthorised entry. - Respond to incidents, emergencies, alarms, and security breaches, following escalation and evacuation procedures where required. - Carry out searches, lock/unlock duties, key management, and traffic or parking control as required. - Complete accurate incident reports, activity logs, handovers, and security records. - Support health & safety procedures, identify hazards, and help maintain a safe and secure environment for people, property, and assets. Ideally, you’ll have: ✅ Valid SIA Security Guarding or Door Supervisor Licence ✅ Right to work in the UK with a 5-year checkable work history ✅ Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and varying shift patterns ✅ Strong written and spoken English communication skills ✅ Previous security experience in a corporate or industrial environment (desirable) ✅ Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, email, and incident reporting systems ✅ Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills ✅ Strong attention to detail and observational skills ✅ Calm, professional, and able to work effectively under pressure ✅ Reliable, adaptable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
