Relief Security Officer

Responsibilities You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes: - Prevent and deter unauthorised access to site. Monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms and CTV as appropriate - Conduct external and internal security patrols as detailed in the Assignment Instructions - Carry out routine tests of security equipment where appropriate - Manage keys and perform locking and unlocking duties as detailed in the Assignment Instructions - Maintain all logbooks and records as detailed in the Assignment Instructions - Issue visitor/contractor passes in accordance with the Assignment Instructions - To provide support, guidance and information to all staff, visitors and contractors whilst ensuring safeguarding of the premises Please note - The responsibilities listed here aren’t the full picture—but they give you a good sense of the role. Ideally, you’ll have: - A valid SIA licence - Driving licence and access to own vehicle is essential - Due to the nature of the work, applicants must be British nationals and eligible to meet the necessary security requirements - Flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends - The right to work in the UK, with a 5-year checkable history - Physically fit and capable of long periods of standing and walking - Able to multitask effectively. E.g. CCTV monitoring, patrols, incident response, and report writing - Strong attention to detail - Able to follow procedures and company policies - Honest, trustworthy, and acts with integrity - Great decision-making skills in challenging situations - Strong communication skills in English—both written and spoken Why Join Securitas?
