Recruitment Day - Relief Screening Officer

Responsibilities We’re looking for someone who sees a different world—someone who values teamwork, shows initiative, and wants to grow. Ideally, you’ll have: - Adhere to and apply the Screening Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) - Require datacentre personnel to utilise metal detection and/or wand for secure area access - Monitor traffic flow through screening checkpoints - Follow security breach procedures by notifying supervisors or other appropriate personnel - Perform hand-held wand searches and walk-through metal detection searches - Follow safe work practices and be aware of company policies and procedures related to job safety. Notify superiors of any unsafe working conditions. - Carry out all functions, duties, or tasks in an honest, ethical, and professional manner, following applicable company policies and procedures - Seek clarification from superiors or authorised company representatives when uncertain - Demonstrate understanding and engagement with the Securitas Core Values of Integrity, Vigilance and Helpfulness, whilst showing a natural ability to recognise risk within the workplace and consider safety as a priority, complying with relevant policies, procedures and training as provided by the Company Please note - The responsibilities listed here aren’t the full picture—but they give you a good sense of the role. Ideally, you’ll have: - A valid SIA licence - Flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends - Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle - The right to work in the UK, with a 5-year checkable history - Someone who is willing to travel and cover all of Slough and Hayes area. - Be able to work on their own occasionally for long periods of time - Strong communication skills in English—both written and spoken - Great customer service skills (white glove attitude) - Proven experience in datacentre operations or equivalent security industry experience; or equivalent experience in forces/services.
