Due to continued growth, our Nottingham site are now looking for a Health & Safety Coordinator to join their team on a 12 month fixed term basis! Working hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-16:30pm. Salary: £31,000 per annum. As a Health & Safety Coordinator you will work closely with our internal Health and Safety, Quality and compliance teams to ensure the company maintains all required certifications (ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001 & ISO 14001) and is legally compliant in all its health, safety and quality activities. Key Duties of a Health & Safety Coordinator: - Implementing improvement actions raised in connection with MAH (Major Accident Hazard). - Keeping control and records for all accidents, incidents, high profile near misses and near misses. - Ensure that the control and mitigation measures identified in the risk assessments are implemented and maintained effectively. - Ensure any site audit process involving H&S is maintained and followed by all parties. - Support the Compliance team in keeping records for appointed contractors and planned site maintenance. - Ensure all necessary legislative and safety licences are maintained, including the completion of a regular programme of racking, plant and Loler inspections. - Ensure plant and machinery are safe to use and legally compliant. - Develop and maintain the effectivity and integrity of SSOW’s with any associated controlled documentation and record keeping. - Playing an active role in monthly health and safety meetings. - Co-ordinating relevant training programmes for site. - Supporting the health and safety champions for the site. - Knowledge of Health & Safety Legislation, good working practices, Regulatory inspections/servicing compliance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 is advantageous. - Experience applying Root Cause and Trend Analysis would be desirable. - PC literate with a sound working knowledge of MS Office. - Good time management skills with the ability and desire to solve problems. - Self-motivated with a keen desire to participate as a pro-active member of the team. - Keen eye for detail and a methodical approach to work. - IOSH qualified would be preferable.
