Why this role matters You will join the Accounting team and be part of the wider Finance department of JERA Nex bp. The team is made up of approximately 16 people working to deliver high quality and efficient accounting on a local standalone as well as consolidated group level for a multinational organisation. Why you should join us: - Dynamic and experienced team with various backgrounds - Motivated to support JERA Nex bp’s offshore wind ambitions - Exposed to international deployment of renewable energy at a critical time for the energy transition In this role you will: We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to take full ownership of end-to-end accounting for a portfolio of legal entities within the group. This is a hands-on, "a-z" role covering everything from transactional processing through statutory reporting and audit management. Key Responsibilities - Own end-to-end accounting for assigned legal entities, including invoice posting/payments, accruals, month-end close and reconciliations - Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. - Manage intercompany accounting, funding transactions, and acquisition-related bookkeeping - Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in the preparation of tax returns. - Support transfer pricing documentation and calculations - Perform payroll accounting and service invoice creation - Manage accounts receivable, cash management, and liquidity planning - Prepare UK statutory financial statements (UK GAAP) and support IFRS group reporting - Lead statutory audit management and support group audit requirements - Identify and drive process improvement and automation opportunities within the accounting function - Implement and maintain effective internal controls.
