Security Officer

What you'll be doing: You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes: - Access Control: Prevent and deter unauthorised access to the site - Security Monitoring: Monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms, and CCTV - Patrolling: Conduct external and internal security patrols - Record-Keeping: Maintain logbooks and records, ensuring timely paperwork and effective handovers - Health & Safety: Record and report faults, hazards, and unsafe working practices to management - Energy Conservation: Switch off unnecessary lights and close windows during patrols - Customer Service: Deliver an outstanding level of customer service - Professionalism: Maintain the highest standard of personal presentation to uphold the image of Securitas and the client - Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving security practices and processes Please note - The responsibilities listed here aren’t the full picture—but they give you a good sense of the role. What we’re looking for: We’re looking for someone who sees a different world—someone who values teamwork, shows initiative, and wants to grow. Ideally, you’ll have: - Valid SIA Licence - CCTV Licence (desirable, training available) - Strong interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Must have the legal right to work in the UK with a 5-year checkable history - Able to work days, nights, and weekends - Self-motivated with a keen eye for detail Due to the nature of this opportunity, candidates must be able to achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) and Security Check (SC) Clearance - Must be a British National and have lived in the UK for the last 5 years.
