Weighbridge Operator / Security Officer

Responsibilities You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes: Weighbridge Operations - Operate the site weighbridge accurately and efficiently. and assets. Record and process vehicle weights, deliveries, collections, and waste movements. - Verify delivery notes, transport documentation, and weighbridge tickets. Issue weighbridge tickets and maintain accurate electronic and manual records. - Liaise with drivers, site personnel, customers, and contractors regarding site procedures. Report discrepancies, vehicle overloads, documentation issues, or operational concerns. - Produce weighbridge reports and assist with administrative duties as required. Security Duties - Control access and egress of all vehicles, visitors, contractors, and employees. Conduct identification and authorization checks. - Maintain occurrence books, incident logs, and visitor records. Ensure compliance with security policies and health and safety requirements. Health, Safety and Compliance - Promote a positive safety culture and follow all site safety procedures. - Ensure vehicles comply with site traffic management rules. - Report hazards, near misses, accidents, and unsafe acts immediately. Assist with emergency response and evacuation procedures when required. - Maintain confidentiality of company and client information. Ideally, you’ll have: - A valid SIA licence. - Ability to work under own initiative. - Customer Service experience - The right to work in the UK, with a 5-year checkable history. - Strong communication skills in English—both written and spoken. - Previous experience in Weighbridge operations (Desirable)
