Kennel Assistant

What You'll Be Doing Every day is different, but you'll be involved in: - Handling dogs and cats of all sizes, breeds and temperaments - Feeding, grooming and caring for animals - Exercising and enriching animals in our care - Cleaning kennels, cattery units and exercise areas - Monitoring animal welfare and wellbeing - Working closely with a supportive team to maintain the highest standards of care Please Note: This list is not extensive but gives a good overview of the duties of the role! Essential Requirements You'll thrive in this role if you have: - Previous experience working with animals - Confidence handling dogs and cats of all breeds, sizes and temperaments - A genuine passion for animal welfare and high standards of care - A practical nature – not afraid to get your hands dirty and muck in with tasks - Strong communication, reliable and teamwork skills - Enjoy being active and on your feet throughout the day - Ability to follow operating procedures and maintain high standards – committed to personal development - Right to work in the UK with a 5-year checkable history - UK driving licence and own transport, or the ability to reliably travel to site within 45 minutes Desirable - Experience in an animal welfare setting - Canine and/or feline first aid qualification - Relevant animal care qualifications Ready to Join Us?
